Baihao Yinzhen translates to “White Hair Silver Needles”, and is the highest picking grade among white teas - first 2 leaves are harvested & thereafter only buds are sorted out for this grade. This grade was first developed in 1885.

Truly unique among white teas is its floral fragrances ranging from peonies, to the sharper lilac and light pine, paired with grape juice notes. It has a long finish, with a sweet aftertaste.

Harvested by the Lahu tribes in Northern Thailand, at an elevation of 1,300m, the flavour changes with subsequent steeps. This brew is smooth and free from bitterness & dryness.
